Ice Cream, Reimagined: 7 Ninja Creami Recipes to Fuel Your Fitness Journey
Deliciously Healthy Recipes to Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth While Staying on Track
Wanted to take a little break from the body part specific training guidance (only have two more left…calves/abs and chest…stay tuned for those)…very excited to share this newsletter as if you love ice cream as much as I do, you’ll agree the Ninja Creami is the greatest hack in the history of hacks when it comes to cutting!
The Ninja Creami has truly revolutionized how we can enjoy sweet treats while sticking to our fitness goals. It's one of those rare gadgets that really does make dieting easier, especially if you’re trying to keep things low-calorie and high-protein without sacrificing flavor. The idea of turning pretty much anything into ice cream is genius, and I have to say, I’ve been loving the process of coming up with new combinations.
So far, I’ve tried seven different recipes, and each one has been delicious. The best part is, you can play around with flavors and ingredients, and it doesn’t take too long to get that perfect creamy texture. You do need to freeze the mix for 12-24 hours before blending, which is the only downside. But, trust me, the results are worth the wait.

Here’s a little breakdown of how I make them. First, gather your ingredients—everything needs to be mixed together in a bowl before going into the Creami container. Fill the container to the "freeze" line and freeze it for the required 12-24 hours. I’ve rushed this step before, and while it still works, the texture is definitely not as good when you don’t give it enough time to set.
When it’s time to blend, I usually take the container out of the freezer for 5-10 minutes before putting it in the Creami machine. I set it to "Light Ice Cream," but "Milkshake" is a great setting too if you prefer a smoother, softer texture. It only takes about 4 minutes for it to turn into a thick, creamy ice cream.
As for the recipes, here are the ones I’ve tried so far, each one delicious in its own way:

In terms of ingredients, I’ve been using a lot of Greek yogurt, specifically the Kirkland brand for its texture and consistency, though Noosa yogurt adds a great flavor boost when I want something extra rich. For protein powders, I’ve found the Ascent Native Fuel and Optimum Nutrition to be solid choices. If you’re looking for a more specific flavor, the RAW and ISO 100 brands have some amazing chocolate and cookies & cream options too.
When it comes to mix-ins, the options are endless—chocolate chips, crushed cookies, sprinkles, and even marshmallows all make great additions. Just keep in mind that if you're watching your calories closely, it's easy to go overboard with the extras. But, if you're looking to bulk up or add some extra flavor, these toppings can make the experience even more fun.
What’s also great about the Ninja Creami is that you don’t have to follow the recipes to the letter. Feel free to experiment—if you prefer regular instant pudding over sugar-free, or if you want to swap out the milk for something richer, go for it. The goal is to make something that works for your taste buds and fits your macros.
Of all the flavors I’ve tried, the Peanut Butter one is probably my favorite—it’s so satisfying and really hits the spot when I’m craving something indulgent. But I also love the Strawberry Cheesecake for its sweetness and tangy flavor—it’s a real treat.
The best part is, with the Creami, you can always mix up new combos and have something different each time. It’s such a versatile machine, and I’ve only scratched the surface of the different creations I could try.
If you’re a fan of sweets but also want to keep your diet on track, this is definitely one gadget you won’t regret having in your kitchen.
